Your pets need you to be prepared to care for them in case of an
emergency.
Bad things happen. I don't want you to lose sleep at night
dwelling on the possibilities but... if nothing else, face the fact
that we live in earthquake country.
As taxpayers we provide for excellent, professional emergency
responders for people. When bad things happen to one family or to a
particular neighborhood, we can count on 911 responses to these
local catastrophes. However, when a big disaster strikes - these
emergency responders are quickly overwhelmed. As an observer, the
lession I learned from Hurricane Katrina is that we all need to be
prepared to CARE FOR OURSELVES (and our pets).
I hope the suggestions and tools enclosed will help you be
prepared to care for yourself and your pets in an emergency
situation.
