The following outline describes our current
recommendations to care for your pet’s needs. Our goal is to insure that your
pet has the best quality of life for as long as
possible.
Puppies and Kittens (Birth until 12 months
of Age)
Physical Examination
Beginning at 6-8 weeks: vaccinate and de-worm every 3-4 weeks
until 16 weeks of age.
Spay or
neuter at 6 months
Place
microchip
Begin
monthly internal and external parasite prevention – Sentinel for
dogs and Revolution for cats. Also Frontline as needed for
additional flea and tick control.
Young Adults
Annual
Physical Exam
Vaccinations as needed. Need is based on your individual
pet and their lifestyle.
Annual
Laboratory Testing:
Blood testing, urinalysis, and fecal examination.
Dental
cleaning as needed.
The goal is minimal tartar accumulation and zero
gingivitis.
Breed
specific monitoring, e.g. glaucoma screening, dysplasia screening,
heart disease, etc.
